Has anyone experienced hair loss because of stress or anxiety?

It seems like I'm losing more hair than usual. Not clumps but a decent amount.

Yes, even though I take care of it well I have a lot of hair that's easily coming out, but not in clumps, and I don't have any bald patches. What I recommend, that's helped me, is conditioning your hair with aloe Vera and aveda dry remedy, and then using a wide tooth comb to brush it down (I brush from bottom to top instead of top to bottom and this helps me avoid pulling more hair out than what's already falling).

Thank you to both of you. I'll try your suggestions.

Yes! I assumed it was due to lowering my thyroid med, but I heard it can be due to stress and I am very stressed out. I too have more hair in the hair brush and sink... and I'm trying not to obsess about it. I moved cross-country and wondered about climate affecting it too. UGH.

Last summer I lost so much hair due to anxiety that I buzzed it all off. It came back a whole different texture but at least it came back. Still lose a lot but the doctor doesn't seem concerned so I guess I shouldn't be either... but I am of course. It seems I cant wear hair bands because it causes traction alopecia. Could be due to some meds too but sometimes getting doctors to give you a straight answer about side effects is lime pulling teeth.. hope this helped some. Good luck.
