At work, I use headphones to listen to music because otherwise my eyes will wander off or I'll start making conversation. If I don't have my headphones, I'll have a really bad day at work...

Yes, getting medicated has helped me immensely. I'm currently taking Ritalin Uno, 30mg twice a day, and I've never been better. I'm noticeably more calm, less anxious, more focused and more composed.

Yes, I take Concerta to be able to focus on the thinks I like (I love psychology and literature and science in general). but to calm down my anxious cravings, I work out on the mornings (When you dont have enough time the 7 minutes exercises app for Android works a lot, but a sport discipline is much better). And recently about 2 or 3 months ago, after exercise I take a 20 minutes cold shower while meditating. (Cause I found that it is a common and efficient psychiatric remedy for depression and for anxiety too, and also helps to develop a better inmunological system and to lower the swelling of muscles after traning), So thats my Personal Salvation Routine for everyday (Concerta + exercise + meditation + daily cold showers). It tookme too long to build it, but I'm very confident with it to help me accomplishing all my goals. This routine saved my collegue career and my life and Im very grateful to have it.

If you're going for a more natural approach than meds, caffeine works OK to calm my ADHD. I ran out of my meds this weekend and had forgotten to grab my RX slip from my Dr's office before it was too late so now I'm stuck without meds for the next 5 days until my Dr is back in her office. I'm chugging caffeinated beverages all day just to keep from having muscle spasms and twitching and feeling like I'm going to explode or cry. No idea what to do at night time though because I've been laying in bed for hours and my body is exhausted but my brain is in hyperdrive
