Journaling?

Has anyone actually found this successful? I personally think it's quite cliche and foolish, but perhaps it's worked for you?

I can't journal to save my life, with agoraphobia I don't have a lot going on. I'm typically at a loss when explaining/understanding how I feel. However I do enjoy writing in other forms.

I think it somewhat helps. During my teen years I felt the best emotionally when I consistently wrote in a journal. It doesn't necessarily solve any huge problems, but it does help in relieving some things from my thoughts.

It has helped me when I push myself to do it. You may not think it does at first but a week or so down the road you will see that putting your thoughts on "paper" helps to get them out of your brain and when you go back and read what you wrote you will be amazed at the progress you have made.
