Anyone experience morning anxiety? What do you do about it?


After nearly a year of yoga every morning . I have gotten it down to only having anxiety upon awakening. For the most part the rest of the day is fine. Anyone else with this symptom?
I have just started taking one Stablon pill when I wake in the middle of the night and it seems to alleviate this morning anxiety for me. I like to hear if others have the same issue.

I am finding this is the case for me as well...I wake up with high anxiety, tossing and turning, heart beating fast, then the dread and doom follows. If I don't take it easy and pace myself, it escalates, and then I find myself in full-fledged panic and reaching for the xanax. However, it does taper off for me by the afternoon and even more so into the evening. And then the cycle begins again the following morning. I want so much for it to longer be this way. I have read that it has to do with high cortisol levels after a night of sleep and also perhaps due to low blood sugar levels. At any rate, while I am still figuring out what to do about it beyond practicing whatever modalities I've already learned (deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, mindfulness) I want you to know that I relate to what you're going through...Hang in there...
