Is insecurities the root problem of agoraphobia?

this is such a tricky question, it is like the chicken and the egg..which came first. I guess if your brain chemistry is prone to mental illness then the agoraphobia creates the insecurity or if your life journey has left you insecure this may bring on agoraphobia. Does anyone else has any suggestions or input???

I think it one of the major contributors to it. Maybe not the root problem of it though.

not the root problem but definately doesnt help the situation any.
