Anyone else self inflict?

I've been doing multiple forms since I was fourteen years old. Does anyone else have a story?

I too, started self harming when I was 14, shortly after my grandmother died. I would cut with shaving razors and for a very long time afterward I would do it on and off until I was about 21, which was my last time. I attempted suicide when I was 17, was hospitalized in patient, then had to go back to out patient after a bit. The whole experience helped to change my perspective quite a bit. To try to take place of cutting i tried snapping rubberbands, which didn't always work and also put salt on my skin and set ice on it so it would leave a temporary burn, but gave me that pain I wanted. Finally I switched to carrying around fake blood and using that whenever I wanted to cut until I could cope on my own. I used cutting as a way of punishing myself and sometimes when I had great bouts of depression. I had to learn to find support and open up to people, but ultimately it helped me a lot in the end and I'm proud to say I haven't cut in 2 years. :)

^^^ Like her. I was 14. My whole life has been a really rough one. I wont bother you with details or try to compare. All I know is, in the end, it wasnt worth it, they never mattered, and its their wrong doing not you. You can not change the world, you have to change you, including the people you talk to. I dont even talk to my own mother any more. Sadly, as hard as it was for me to let go, its easier for me and her as well. Its not going to be easy, but far better then infliction!

You three girls are all beautiful, eloquent, and strong for not being defined by what happened or what you did, but by who you are now and who you want to be. May all beings live in peace.
