What do you worry most about?

I am making a zine for the counseling center here at school that focuses on college students with anxiety disorders. I personally have G.A.D. and this has contributed to a lot of the content in the zine but I would like some outside input. I want this zine to help those who don't suffer from an anxiety disorder understand what its like. I often struggle to explain how it feels to my husband and my family. They don't understand why I can't just "calm down" or "chill out". I need some quotes ( you will remain anonymous of course) from you guys explaining your experiences, what you struggle with most, and what has helped you cope. I'm also looking for input on what images come to mind when you think about your anxiety. For example one of the spreads in the zine is a series of thumbnail images that slowly change from one image to the next to show a "white out". This is something that happens to me when I have a panic attack I white out instead of black out. I would greatly appreciate your contributions and I will post the zine on my profile when its completed. Thanks,

I worry about having anxiety, it totally takes over your life. When I first started having panic attacks it was 10 yrs. before I told my husband. I didn't know what they were and I thought that someone would catch on that I was crazy and take my baby away. Every phone call or someone knocking at the door for me was hell. When I couldn't take it anymore I told my husband, the next day we were at the doctors, I could not believe what she had to say. I knew what I had, knew I was not crazy and thank god she helped me. My life has been all ups and downs. You start to learn little things that can help you cope i.e. self-talk, breathing exercises, exercise, what you eat and drink. It's never ending but we just keep going.

I worry about dying alone...or in the middle of the night while I'm sleeping and not being able to say what I want to say to everyone I love. I also feel like my brain and the way I overthink everything ruins my life...if I could stop thinking about every little thing that could happen or what ifing everything into the ground I feel like I could live a normal life.

I worry about pretty much everything like what I am going to be doing the next day or even if my children are going to go into the toilet during the night and I have left the toilet seat up and they fall down it and die. I am a worrier and my kids are probably my biggest worry apart from the "not knowing when I am going to have an anxiety attack". I worry about that more than anything and it is destroying me as a person and making me a very boring person to be around because I am scared to do anything incase I have an attack :(
