possible SAD

I've been having trouble with anxiety for a very long time and I have seem to mainly have it around the winter. My anxiety and insomnia gets bad around late fall-early winter, and then seems to get better but then I get in a very bad mood a lot of the time. I break down very easily and it has been like this since about last year at least. I expected it was a one time thing last year but now I'm afraid I might have Seasonal Affective Disorder. My brother, my mother and several other family members have depression so its definitely possible for me to have it as well. Is there anyone with similar problems who can tell me whats possibly going on with me? Thanks :)

I have had SADs for years. I've changed all the light bulbs out in my house to the true day light bulbs. Keep my curtains open all day. Take vitamin d. And try to get as much natural sunlight as possible. Yet even with all this, I still have days when nothing seems to help. But thankfully they are few and far between. Do I still get the blues? Yes. But it's not debilitating like it used to be. Since I've had it for so long I've learned to recognize its onset and start doing something to try and ward it off. God has really helped me find ways to lift my spirits and has placed a great support group around me who understand the ups and downs of SADs, social anxiety, generalized depression and migraines. I hope this helps!
