At night my anxiety is worse. I can't sleep or relax if I'm worried about something that's happening the next day or facing something that has happened? How do people turn this anxiety off so they can sleep??

I usually use a relaxation technique, like breathing and trying to clear my mind, I also take melatonin to help me fall asleep. I have had problems with falling asleep since I was very young, couldn’t turn my thoughts off.
