Sugar and sweet foods may not directly cause anxiety and anxiety attack, but they affect the blood sugar that can lead to anxiety and mood swings while also affecting how the brain functions. Specifically, refined sugars, nicotine, and caffeine destroy B vitamins are essential to mental and emotional well-being.

I eat a whole lot of sweet foods at the moment due to the amount in my house since christmas! It doesn't seem to have had an impact on me however I fear developing diabetes with the amount I am taking in.
