    yes, i can get very anxiosu and sad while wtaching the suffering of other people, it breaks my heart.

    Yes, i sometimes cant help to feel sorry for those people, even if far away, they are still in agony, it depresses me sometimes

    its understandable, but dont let it affect you so much, because nowadays there is nothing but bad news, try to co exsists with the bad news. its just the world now.

    Yes, but i think its quite normal to feel anxious or empathy with seeing images of other people in pain or distress. One of my doctors told me early in my treatment to not read the newspaper or watch the news, this i did for years but felt out of touch with the world around me. Some news stories can really touch me, last year Queensland had severe flooding, it touched me that so many complete strangers came out to help. One image that really got to me was a guy in a boat in a flooded paddock rescuing wallabies and kangaroos that where stuck in the water and would have surely drowned, i admire this sort of person so much, it really touches my heart.

    If i see anything to do with wars going on or weapons of mass destruction discussed on the news, i really works me up and worries me...

    Yea well it seems that anything in the headlines these days is allways bad news,and if your allready feeling anxious watching these images will only reasure yor negitive toughts about life and only make you feel more anxious! i stopped reading tabloids and watching the news,i now use the internet to find some inspiational and success stories....really helps to lift my mood and motivate me to keep fighting whatever it is thats troubling me! Goodluck everyone! Try to focus on the positives....however small they are!
