Im the opposite end of the spectrum unfortunately. Im really quite confrontational. Ive always enjoyed debate. Dont forget confrontation isnt always a bad idea. Its just a case of acception that most people have varying views, its intention isnt to belittle or make someone feel bad, its to express a difference in opinion. Why not practise it here. Say some of your views and see what happens. I think youll find that people will either agree with you or agree to disagree. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Who cares if people dont agree. Saying what you think is very good for confidence building.

I used to have this problem and still do to some extents however over the last couple of years I have actively tried to fight this and give my point of view. It is hard at first and it wont feel natural (I still don't feel right about it) however it really helps to relieve anxiety as it will not build up inside of you.
I tend to dwell on what I "should've said" and it angers/stresses me that I didnt say it. If you are right then there is no reason not to say anything. If the other person gets irritated/angry it is usually because they know they are wrong and don't want to be embarrassed. Just calmly agree to disagree but you are in the knowledge that you were right. You will feel a lot better for it.
