    Yes just go to your own doctor, tell him what you want and he will refer you to someone who is best to deal with your problem it's usually is the best and quickest way to get things done here in the UK.

    You can go to your regular dr and tell them about your problems and they will most likely refer you to a therapist. And in the meantime while your waiting for your appointment the dr may give you a antidepressant to help you until time for you to see another dr. Thats how I got help! :0)

    when I can't make an appointment, my doctor will take a phone session. if you need meds, make sure to have enough filled for your time away. i've call my doctor while away and he's called in my script if I've ran out and unable to get to him. if you're really, really bad, go to the ER

    i started with my family doctor however, I eventually felt much more comfortable with a psychologist. He now knows me, and its much more comfortable.
