Fortunately I've managed to keep off tablets for a long time, however when I was first diagnosed they gave me Propranolol 10mg for my panic attacks, Dolsuepin 35mg for Depression & anti-nausua tablets because my panic attacks often make me/make me feel, sick.

I take 375 mg of Venlaxine for depression and 30 mg of Mirtazipine for anxiety. I tried to 'up' the Mirtazipine to 40mg but my skin on my chest & face broke out in spots - not good for a 40 year old woman. So have to stick at 30 although would like to up the anxiety meds.

I am very intolerant to medications. They usually always produce the rare side effects or paradoxical effects with me. For me I do better the less I take. Paxil worked for only a short period of time but was on it for several years. Seroquel was added and that gave me diabetes and Priapism. Cymbalta, worked okay for a couple of years and then pooped out. Effexor made my panic attacks worse. Prozac gave me chronic severe anxiety and nausea. Neurotin gave me severe rage.
Everyone's body metabolizes things differently so how it affects one person does not mean it will have the same effect with you. Same with withdrawals I know someone that could never get off of paxil. Yet I had no problem. I had a horrible time getting off of Effexor. I was able to quite Neurotin almost cold turkey without any withdrawals. Its a trial and error type of deal. I can say this. If a medication did work I noticed some improvement almost immediately. If they didn't work I got a bad reaction from the first dose. I know that I am the exception to most of this.
