    Of course you can set an alarm (or multiple alarms if you're a deep sleeper.) And I personally find that when I don't move around much I either get restless or sleep too much. Are you active? Exercise can help regulate sleeping patterns.

    try to keep yourself busy, i struggle with sleeping all the time when i'm going through a low period and sleeping doesn't help atall set tasks for each day

    I agree about trying to stay busy. sleep to me is an escape when feeling low, but in the long run it just makes you feel worse. I will usually limit myself to an hour nap per day because the anxiety zaps my energy, but before napping I give myself permission to nap and remind myself the nap is for rest only. I'm not giving in.
