How do you talk to a person when you are feeling anxious, without having to say something stupid?
I have troubles ordering my food,I get anxious and I am scared that I might mess up, and say awkward/stupidest things, which makes me more anxious and might having a panic attack.

Let me know when you figure it out haha I'd say just keep trying. Whenever I run away from the social world, I come back 100x more awkward

Everytime I talk to someone I try to consider it as a practice. I think to myself that it's better trying and messing up than not trying at all. I think the way of solving this problem is practicing talking to people as much as I can so I'd rather say something stupid than regretting I didn't say what I wanted to say...
Before I talk to someone I think to myself that it doesn't matter how stupid or awkward I will be, I'm OK for trying.
I think the way is not avoiding, but accepting.
Good luck

if it's online then write down what you want to say and read it back to yourself and read their comment, see if it is right to send what you have written and think twice before you send it.
If it's in person then just try and concentrate on what they are saying, take it in (listen) and whatever they are saying, imagine it happening, like a video in your mind with a person (you or them) doing whatever they are saying but this is only if they are talking about situations which they have been in, or about to attend. It will help keep your mind of worrying about other things as there's always an alternative

Its going to happen. I cant go my entire life without saying something stupid lol. Luckily all my friends say dumb stuff all the time so I fit right in. The truth is nobody really ever tells me I said something stupid. Its more that I perceive that they may think I said something stupid and then believe my made up perception. It is a self fulfilling prophecy when I mind read. I have gotten better at asking question and thankfully find that my perception was incomplete and there was another reason behind someones behavior that had nothing to do with me or what I said. I can be very self absorbed. shew its good to have friends to help me see this world through different eyes.
