Does anyone else feel the need to hide like in a small dark place?
It doesn't have to have anything to do with when I have a panic attack, but sometimes I just need to hide. I will go in the bathroom and shut the door with the lights out. I'll take a blanket and just be comfortable and hidden. I have done this my whole life without realizing it.

I do that sometimes. I am a person that just prefers to be alone and not have a lot of people around me. I have hidden in the bathroom just to get away from others before. I even slept in a motor home in our driveway because there were just too many people in the house. I even hide when my partner has company over. I will go to the bedroom and close the door until they're gone. I don't know that I gravitate towards small dark places but I do tend to "hide" quite often.

I do that a lot, yes! I guess not so much "hide" since I'm easily found (I was never good at hide and seek lol), but just having to get away. The bathroom makes a good sanctuary because you know any civilized person isn't going to barge in while you're in there lol. And plus, if others aren't really aware of your anxiety issues, there are a lot of excuses available to use to explain why you're in the bathroom for so long. xD

I slept in my closet when I was little and would be scared or upset. When I moved into my own house w/ my ex husband, I would do the same to get away from the...well, still don't know quite what I've been scared or upset about all these years. I just know that it's a comfortable place.
